Just south of Hammersmith Bridge one enters Barnes. The most sought after roads tend to focus on those in the “village” itself, off Church Road, Station Road and close the pond and main High Street and shops. Further north prices tend to be more affordable but there are some exceptionally large villas on and off Castelnau.

St Pauls School dominates the northern part of the region and the Wetlands Centre and playing fields to the east. This area has been and remains popular with UK residents and more recently with European buyers.
