Belgravia Property

The district lies to the south-west of Buckingham Palace, and is approximately bounded by Hyde park to the north, Grosvenor Place to the east, Pimlico Road and Buckingham Palace Road to the south, and Sloane Street to the west.

Many of the street names derive from one of the landed estates in the area, the Grosvenor Estate, with Eaton Square being one of the most sought after. Most of the houses were occupied by 1840.

The square takes its name from one of the Duke of Westminster’s subsidiary titles, Viscount Belgrave. The village of Belgrave, Cheshire is two miles (3 km) from the Grosvenor family’s main country seat of Eaton Hall.

Arguably one of the most expensive parts of London with grand white stucco fronted buildings, which have become popular with both International Embassies as well as international residential buyers alike. Prices have shot up in recent years fuelled by foreign interest and includes some streets closer to the south of the region that were traditionally more affordable. Buyers are international but many originate from the Middle East and Russia.
