Marylebone is in an area of London that can be roughly defined as bounded by Oxford Street to the south, Marylebone Road and Regents Park to the north, Edgware Road to the west and Great Portland Street to the east. The two main landowners are the de Walden Estate to the east and the Portman Estate to the west.

Often seen as playing second best to Mayfair but so much has changed here in the last 10 years. Prices are at their most reasonable towards Edgware road. However, expect to pay Mayfair prices in the prime spots close to Marylebone High Street and towards Portman Place, where these streets are dominated by the medical professional.

Further east towards Tottenham Court Road is known as Fitzrovia where prices become more affordable. Popular with Far East as well as Middle Eastern buyers.
