In theory the western boundary stretches as far as the Earls Court road though the roads that run immediately east off the Earls Court road would be classified as more Earls Court than South Kensington.
The further west you go the cheaper it becomes. However, the Boltons is an exception and the large freehold houses here command high prices. The Fulham Road marks the southern boundary. Some parts of postcode SW7 might also be considered as part of South Kensington like Thurloe Square while some parts of SW3 like Egerton Crescent could also be classified as belonging to Knightsbridge.
Mainly residential this has proved a particularly popular area to live with French buyers as the Lycee Francais prep school is opposite South Kensington tube station.
