Dorset Property

Generally speaking Dorset is less pricey than Hampshire and Wiltshire simply because of its commuting distance to London. Highly-rated schools and a low crime rate attract residents to the hills of the Cranbourne Chase and the Blackmore Vale’s horse-riding heaven.

In addition, Dorset’s picturesque cliffs, beaches and seaside villages and towns, including Bournemouth and Poole (particularly the Sandbanks Peninsula in Poole Harbour), account for some of the most desirable coastal property in the UK. On a square foot basis Sandbanks ranks alongside the most desirable parts of London.

Traditional homes in Dorset include old rectories, farmhouses and manor houses, of which those built in the Elizabethan era are at a premium.
