The Country
Surrey Property
Bordering suburban South West London, including Richmond, to its north, much of the county is within the commuter belt and access to London largely determines property values. Further south, rolling countryside and pretty villages with traditional pubs characterise its leafy appeal. Prime properties include Georgian houses, late Victorian villas and extensive 1930s homes. South of Guildford, late Victorian and Edwardian houses designed by one of England’s most celebrated architects, Sir Edwin Lutyens, are highly prized. The 900-acre St George’s Hill Estate in Weybridge boasts its own tennis and golf club, and properties can command exceptional prices.
